What is DEIB?
DEIB stands for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging—key principles that create a work environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported, regardless of their background or identity. We believe that fostering DEIB goes beyond policy—it also involves shaping physical work environments that meet the diverse needs of employees. Our research will explore how workplace design can promote DEIB and enhance experiences for all employees, contributing to a more inclusive, equitable future of work.
Why We’re Undertaking This Research
The global shift toward more inclusive organisations is undeniable, and the benefits are clear: better talent attraction and retention, enhanced creativity, and increased innovation. While HR and legal departments have traditionally led the way in DEIB initiatives, the role of Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management (RE/FM) is now emerging as a critical factor. Work Transformers, along with our strategic partner Workwire in Netherlands, are leading this research to explore how physical work environments can evolve to support DEIB principles. Our goal is to identify opportunities to adapt office typologies and workplace strategies to ensure inclusivity for all.
What’s Involved?
We are inviting end users and corporate occupiers who are experts in Real Estate, DEIB, HR, or Leadership to participate in 45 minute interviews. These conversations will help us understand how your organisation approaches DEIB, the successes and challenges you’ve faced, and how the physical workplace supports (or could better support) these principles. Your insights will help shape the future of inclusive workplace strategies.
What’s in it for you?
By participating, you’ll gain access to an open-source research report detailing trends, insights, and actionable solutions. You will also be a part of a focus group that involves the attendance of world class practitioners in the field of Real Estate, HR, DEIB and Strategy. The data collected will be fully anonymised, ensuring your organisation’s confidentiality, and you’ll be able to use the findings in your own internal DEIB initiatives. This is a chance to contribute to groundbreaking research that bridges the gap between workplace design and DEIB, while also gaining valuable knowledge that can help elevate your organisational initiatives.
